Color Classes Added to Big Money Halter Futurity

Ft. Worth, TX – May 12, 2017 – The World Conformation Horse Association is pleased to announce the addition of Color classes within each of the five existing Non-Pro futurity classes in the 2017 Big Money Halter Futurity. $5000 will be added to these color classes and are open only to entries with either APHA or ApHC registry and sired by any of the 2017 Big Money nominated stallions. This money is in addition to the monies collected from the stallion nominations. The entry fee for the color classes is only $100 and 100% of these entry fees are added back to the purse.

With the addition of color incentives within the Big Money Futurity, this compliments the WCHA Breeders Championship Futurity which also has color classes for APHA, ApHC, PHBA, and ABRA. WCHA is striving to make both the WCHA Breeders Championship Futurity and the Big Money Halter Futurity inclusive for Non Pros, Open, OBE and the breeders and exhibitors of color breeds. Our judges are instructed to find the best conformed horses in each class regardless of size or color. The goal is to provide an all-breed halter futurity program that every participant feels they are an integral part of and can be recognized for their achievements.

It’s not too late for stallion owners to nominate their stallions into either program so that weanlings and yearlings sired by their stallion are eligible to compete this year. The first deadline for entry fees is June 1.
