WCHA Trainer Sale

Do you ever wonder how we're able to promote and preserve the values of the World Conformation Horse Association? The funds don't come from other horse organizations; they come from money we raise throughout the year from our valued members.

We're asking that you consider a donation of your time not money to help stimulate interest and create competitive opportunities for enthusiasts of the conformation horse like yourself. That is why we are requesting a donation of one month of training at your facility to be auctioned off. With your help we will continue protecting, preserving, and promoting the conformation standard of the horse while at the same time pursuing growth in our industry.

You're a small business owner like many of us and a donation of your time will provide you several benefits:
  • Increase business through testimonial of the fortunate person to receive a month's training
  • Allow you further promotion through the WCHA web site and subsequent WCHA Event promotions
  • Position the World Conformation Horse Association to continue to grow conformation horse events and address issues which make a positive impact on the industry
We appreciate your consideration to donate your valuable time and training expertise.

Why did the WCHA get started in the first place?
That is perhaps the most exciting thing about the movement. Owners, breeders and trainers all agreed that creating an organization with a unified voice was critical to the future of the industry. A diminishing market certainly served as catalyst for the first meeting in May 2007, but the result was a focus on the bigger picture of organizing a segment of the horse industry among the first seen in competition.

Why does the name of the association include Conformation Horse rather than Halter Horse?
The founders of the WCHA recognize that conformation is a crucial element to the soundness and athletic ability of the horse, regardless of the discipline in which it might be involved. While the WCHA will develop and promote halter horse competition, its primary mission will be to educate the public about the value of and how to recognize good conformation in the horse.
